Texas flooding updates: 13 dead, more than 20 campers unaccounted for
Tragic Loss of Children in Texas Flooding
The devastating Texas flooding has claimed the lives of several individuals, including children, as reported by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Friday.
Amidst the chaos, Camp Mystic, a popular camp near the Guadalupe River, has reported that approximately 23 out of 750 campers are currently unaccounted for, sparking concerns for their safety and well-being.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick emphasized that the missing campers may not necessarily be casualties, as they could be stranded in trees or facing communication issues. The hope and prayer remain that all missing individuals will be found alive.
In a heartfelt letter to parents, Camp Mystic reassured families by stating, “If your daughter has not been contacted, she is safe and accounted for. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy.”
