Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 Draws 6 Million Global Viewers
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano faced off in their highly-anticipated third boxing match, which garnered an impressive average minute audience (AMA) of around 6 million viewers on Friday night. This data, provided by Netflix and VideoAmp, includes viewers who watched the fight live as well as those who tuned in for playback within a day. Of the total viewers, approximately 4.2 million were from the United States.
The fight card featuring Taylor and Serrano reached the number one spot on Netflix in several countries, including the US, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Additionally, it made it to the Top 10 in 43 countries, showcasing the global appeal of the matchup.
While the third fight’s viewership numbers were significant, they paled in comparison to the second encounter between Taylor and Serrano on the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul card in November. The second fight averaged an estimated 74 million live viewers worldwide and became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in US history, with 47 million AMA in the US.
Despite this, the 6 million viewership figure for the third fight solidified its position as one of the most-watched women’s sporting events of 2025. It closely trailed behind the NCAA Women’s March Madness final earlier in the year, which averaged 8.5 million viewers.
In the ring, Taylor emerged victorious once again, defeating Serrano by majority decision and extending her record to 3-0 against her rival. The undercard featured notable victories, with Alycia Baumgardner retaining her undisputed super featherweight title, Shadasia Green becoming the unified super middleweight champion, and Ellie Scotney winning the WBC super-bantamweight world title.
The live event at Madison Square Garden drew a crowd of 19,721 spectators and generated a gate revenue of $2.63 million. This marked the highest gate ever for a women’s boxing card and the highest gate for a female sporting event in MSG history.
The Taylor-Serrano 3 event was organized by Most Valuable Promotions and EverWonder, showcasing the growing popularity and success of women’s boxing on a global scale.
