In a shocking development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed on Saturday morning that Russia had launched a devastating attack on Ukraine overnight. The assault involved more than 300 drones and over 30 missiles, marking a significant escalation in the conflict between the two nations.

The strikes took place from Friday night into Saturday morning, impacting multiple regions across Ukraine. Among the areas targeted were Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Sumy, Kherson, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr, causing widespread destruction and casualties.

Tragically, at least one person lost their life in the southern city of Odesa, with six others, including a child, sustaining injuries. The attack also resulted in damage to an apartment building in the area, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine.

In addition to the human toll, critical infrastructure was severely impacted by the assault. The city of Sumy suffered damage to its infrastructure, leaving thousands of families without electricity. Similarly, the eastern city of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region experienced damage to a residential building and critical infrastructure, compounding the challenges faced by the local population.
