Bryan Kohberger’s Tinder match recounts chilling encounter with killer before shutting it down

Bryan Kohberger’s Disturbing Tinder Encounter Revealed in Newly Unsealed Documents

A recent revelation from newly unsealed police documents sheds light on a chilling encounter between Bryan Kohberger, the man responsible for the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students, and a Tinder date who matched with him just weeks before the heinous crimes.

The unidentified woman, referred to as “C” in the redacted files, recounted how her conversation with Kohberger took a dark turn as he bombarded her with disturbing questions about murders. The exchange quickly escalated when Kohberger mentioned the “Ka Bar” knife, the same weapon used in the slayings, during their conversation.

According to the police report, Kohberger delved into a discussion about a murder that occurred in the woman’s town before shifting the conversation to horror movies. When asked about her favorite horror film, the woman mentioned the Rob Zombie Halloween movies. This led Kohberger to inquire about the worst way to die, to which the woman responded with “a knife.”

Alarming the woman further, Kohberger then mentioned the “Ka Bar” knife, a military-style blade he had purchased on Amazon prior to the stabbings. Unsettled by his line of questioning, the woman resorted to ending communication with Kohberger as his inquiries made her uncomfortable.

Although the exact timeline of when the woman reported this encounter to the authorities is unclear, the police report indicated that there was no way to verify her claims as she no longer had access to her Tinder account.

The disturbing account provided by the Tinder date is one of many leads detailed in the recently released documents as law enforcement pursued Kohberger following the tragic murders of Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Ethan Chapin on November 13, 2022.
