Gamer Struck by Lightning While Livestreaming
It was a shocking moment caught on camera as a gamer known as “Chrispymate” was struck by lightning while livestreaming from his home in North Carolina. The incident occurred during a storm on July 19, and the video captured the intense bolt of lightning flashing outside his window, lighting up the screen in the room.

As the lightning struck, Chrispymate jolted out of his chair, unplugged his wire headphones, and ran across the room in shock. The viewers could hear the crackle of the electrical current as it made its way to his ears.
“Bro, I just got struck by lightning,” he exclaimed to his viewers before deciding to end the stream. He described the sensation of feeling the lightning go through his earbuds during the terrifying moment.
While rare, lightning can strike within a home without causing significant damage to the property. Electrical currents can travel through various pathways, including wiring, plumbing, and electronic devices like headphones connected to computers.

In a separate incident, a lightning strike at a New Jersey archery venue resulted in one fatality and injuries to several individuals, including children. One 10-year-old boy suffered second-degree burns on his heels and had his socks and shoes shredded from the impact of the deadly strike.
