Smash-and-grab robbers steal $2M in jewelry in daytime Seattle heist that took about 90 seconds
Seattle Jewelry Store Robbed of $2 Million in Diamonds, Watches, and Gold
An audacious midday robbery in Seattle saw smash-and-grab thieves make off with an estimated $2 million in diamonds, luxury watches, gold, and other items in just under 90 seconds, according to police reports released on Friday.
Surveillance footage from the West Seattle jewelry store captured four masked suspects using hammers to shatter the locked glass front door before swiftly ransacking six display cases on Thursday.

Among the stolen items were Rolex watches worth approximately $750,000 from one display case and an emerald necklace valued at $125,000 from another, as per the police statement.
During the robbery, one of the masked suspects reportedly threatened store workers with bear spray and a Taser, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Josh Menashe, the vice president of the family-owned store, expressed his shock and concern for the staff’s well-being following the incident, stating, “We’re pretty shook up as a staff. We’re gonna be closed for a while.”
Despite the unsettling experience, workers at the store have been diligently working on cleaning up the shattered glass and conducting a thorough inventory of the stolen items.
Law enforcement responded to the scene promptly, but the suspects had already fled in a getaway car and managed to evade capture following a search of the surrounding area.
