Vance Says Trump in ‘Incredibly Good Health,’ but Is Prepared to Step Up If Needed
JD Vance: Trump in ‘Incredibly Good Health,’ Prepared to Step Up If Needed
According to an interview with Vice President JD Vance, President Donald Trump is said to be in “incredibly good health” but Vance is prepared to step up as commander-in-chief if required.
Vance expressed confidence in Trump’s health and stated, “I feel very confident the president of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people. And if, God forbid, there’s a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten over the last 200 days.”
At 79 years old, Trump is the oldest person to be sworn in as president. Despite his age, the White House confirmed that Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition among older adults affecting the veins. White House physician Sean Barbabella also noted minor soft tissue irritation on Trump’s hands from frequent handshaking.
Vance emphasized Trump’s work ethic, mentioning that Trump is often the last person making phone calls at night and the first person making calls in the morning.
Aside from health concerns, Trump also faced two assassination attempts in the past year. In one instance, he was shot through the right ear during a rally in Pennsylvania, and in another, a man with a rifle was apprehended near Trump’s Florida golf course.
Reflecting on his experience in the Oval Office, Vance described it as overwhelming yet somewhat dark and gloomy. He commended Trump for brightening up the workspace of the leader of the free world.
Trump hinted at Vance potentially being his successor if he runs for president in 2028, suggesting that Vance would be favored. He also mentioned the possibility of collaboration with Marco Rubio.
