Merritt Wever Secures Emmy Win for Guest Actress in Drama

Merritt Wever has added another prestigious accolade to her collection by winning the Emmy for guest actress in drama for her role in AppleTV+’s “Severance.” In the current season, Wever portrays Gretchen, the wife of Outie Dylan, and her character visits her husband at work multiple times throughout the second season.

Wever, a two-time Emmy-winning actor, is best known for her outstanding performances in acclaimed television series like “Nurse Jackie,” “Godless,” and “Unbelievable.” Her success in “Severance” has garnered well-deserved recognition at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony held at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

“Severance” led the nominations with a total of 27 nods, including categories like outstanding production design and outstanding editing. As the night unfolded, “The Studio” emerged as a top winner, securing five wins, including guest actor in a comedy series for Bryan Cranston and guest actress in a comedy for Julianne Nicholson in HBO Max’s “Hacks.”
