‘Victorious’ Spinoff Set at Netflix, Daniella Monet to Return
Netflix Picks Up Spinoff Series “Hollywood Arts” from “Victorious”
After much anticipation, the spinoff of the popular show “Victorious” has finally been greenlit by Netflix. Titled “Hollywood Arts,” the series is set to debut on the streaming platform in 2026 before making its way to Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
Lead actress Daniella Monet, known for her role as Trina Vega in “Victorious,” will be making a return to star in and executive produce the new series. Production is scheduled to kick off in Vancouver in the upcoming weeks.
The original “Victorious” series aired on Nickelodeon from 2010 to 2013, running for four successful seasons. The show featured a talented cast including Arianna Grande, Victoria Justice, Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, and Avan Jogia.
Joining Monet in the cast of “Hollywood Arts” are Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm. Additionally, Yvette Nicole Brown is set to make a guest appearance on the show.
The official logline for the series reads, “Struggling actress Trina Vega (Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.”
Executive producers and showrunners Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin, along with director Jonathan Judge, are set to bring “Hollywood Arts” to life. The series is being produced by Paramount Television Studios and overseen by Nickelodeon’s Shauna Phelan and Brian Banks.
Notably, this is the second spinoff of “Victorious,” following the one-season run of “Sam & Cat” featuring Arianna Grande and Jennette McCurdy. It’s worth mentioning that the creator of “Victorious,” Dan Schneider, is not involved in “Hollywood Arts” due to past controversies and allegations of misconduct.
