Kristi Noem Tried To Blame Biden For Trump’s National Guard Shooting And It Was A Disaster
The Biden administration has been relatively free of scandals and incompetence, but that hasn’t stopped the second Trump administration from trying to shift blame onto the previous president for any mishaps that occur during their tenure.
Under the guise of a fake crime emergency, the Trump administration has deployed National Guard troops to various American cities. This includes sending troops to Washington, DC, and even gaining control over National Guard units in red states. Without Trump’s baseless crime pretext, the West Virginia National Guard troops would not have been in DC and subsequently targeted by a shooter from Afghanistan.
The shooter, who had been granted asylum by the current administration in April, was the second failure of the Trump administration. Despite this, Trump and his officials have been desperately trying to deflect responsibility for their actions since the tragic shooting took place, resulting in the death of one National Guard member and leaving another in critical condition.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem went on ABC’s This Week to point the finger at Joe Biden, claiming that the shooter had not been properly vetted before being allowed into the country through Operation Allies Welcome. Noem insisted that Trump’s recent actions to halt asylum processes were necessary to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
When pressed by ABC’s Jon Karl about the vetting process, Noem stumbled and failed to provide a clear answer. The blame game continues as the Trump administration tries to distance themselves from the consequences of their decisions.
