Veteran comedic actor Pat Finn — known for his roles in sitcoms like “The Middle” and “The George Wendt Show” — has passed away after a battle with cancer, TMZ has confirmed.

Family sources have revealed that Pat Finn passed away on Tuesday morning at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by his loved ones.

Pat Finn and his close friend Chris Farley rose to fame in Hollywood together. They both attended Marquette University in 1987, played rugby, and were roommates in Chicago while performing with the Second City comedy troupe.

Throughout the early 90s, Pat Finn appeared in popular TV shows such as “Seinfeld” as Joe Mayo, “The George Wendt Show” as Dan Coleman, and “Murphy Brown” as Phil Jr.

However, he is best remembered for his portrayal of Bill Norwood on “The Middle” from 2011 to 2018.

Many of Pat’s colleagues and friends, including comedian Jeff Dye, have shared heartfelt tributes online.

Although the specific type of cancer that Pat Finn was battling has not been disclosed by his family sources, there are indications that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer several years ago.

Pat Finn is survived by his wife Donna, whom he married in 1990, and their two children.
