Trump Mobile delays gold phone release, blaming government shutdown: report
The Launch of Trump Mobile’s Gold-Colored Phone Delayed Due to Government Shutdown
The Trump Organization, spearheaded by Eric and Donald Jr., had announced the launch of a wireless service earlier this year. The highlight of the announcement was the release of a sleek, gold smartphone manufactured in the US. However, due to the 43-day government shutdown, the delivery of the gold-colored phones has been delayed.
The initial plan was to release the “T1” smartphone in August at a price of $499, with a $100 prepayment requirement. Despite the delay, Trump Mobile has started selling second-hand iPhones and Androids at slightly lower prices than market leaders like Apple and Samsung.
Trump Mobile had intended to manufacture their phones in the US, specifically in Alabama, California, and Florida. However, logistical challenges have prompted them to consider alternative marketing strategies like “proudly American” instead of “Made in the U.S.A.”
The wireless service offered by Trump Mobile includes a $47.45 monthly plan, reflecting Trump’s presidency as the 45th and 47th president. This plan includes unlimited talk, text, data, as well as roadside assistance and telehealth services.
Despite the setbacks, Trump Mobile remains optimistic about the future of their gold-colored phones and the success of their wireless service. The company is continuously striving to navigate the challenges and deliver quality products to its customers.
