Texas Judge Pat Deen threatens to have Amazon workers fired before son allegedly spits at pair in heated dispute

A recent incident involving a Texas county judge, Pat Deen, and a pair of Amazon workers has sparked controversy and raised questions about road rage behavior. The confrontation took place in Hudson Oaks, Texas, when Judge Deen nearly collided with an Amazon van driven by JNae King and LaTierca Thrower.

According to reports, Deen accused the delivery drivers of causing a potential wreck and threatened to have them fired. The situation escalated when Deen’s son, Gary Patrick Deen Jr., got involved and allegedly used racial slurs towards the women. The women claimed that Deen Jr. also spat at them during the heated argument.

Despite video evidence showing the younger Deen spitting at the women, the use of racial slurs could not be confirmed by the Hudson Oaks Police. Deen denied the accusations of spitting and defended his reaction by stating that the delivery drivers had parked behind him and caused damage to his car.

The women decided to file assault charges against Deen’s son, leading to a legal battle in the aftermath of the incident. Judge Deen, who has been in office since September 2018, is currently seeking re-election in 2026. He faces competition from Tim Galbreaith in the Republican party primary, with the winner going up against Democrat Richard Simms in the general election.

The incident has raised concerns about public officials’ behavior and the impact of road rage incidents on individuals’ safety. It serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining composure and resolving conflicts peacefully, even in stressful situations. The outcome of the legal proceedings will determine the consequences for those involved and shed light on the importance of accountability in public office.
