Solomon’s compensation for 2025 included a base salary of $2 million and $45 million in annual variable compensation, as reported in a regulatory filing by Goldman Sachs.

Comparatively, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon received a compensation package worth $43 million for 2025, reflecting a 10.3% increase from the previous year.

Additionally, Solomon and John Waldron, the president and chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs, each agreed to $80 million stock-based retention bonuses last year to remain at the bank’s headquarters until January 2030.

Waldron, who is 55 years old, is expected to succeed Solomon as the bank’s chief executive in the future.
