MAGA Thoroughly Flips Out Over Anti-Trump Moments At Grammys
Conservatives were outraged on Sunday at celebrities who used the Grammy Awards to protest President Donald Trump and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which is enforcing his tough anti-immigration policies.
Supporters of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement flooded social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, with complaints following statements made by host Trevor Noah and artists like Bad Bunny and Kehlani.
Bad Bunny, while accepting the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album, boldly declared: “Before I thank God, I want to say: ICE out. We are not savage. We are not animals. We are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”
He continued, “Hate only grows stronger with more hate. The only thing stronger than hate is love. So, let’s be different. If we fight, let’s do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people, we love our family, and that’s the way to go.”
Kehlani revealed that she had initially planned to wear a pin with the phrase “F*** ICE” but decided on a more restrained message instead.
Pins bearing the message “ICE Out” worn by several individuals were labeled as “disgusting,” “pathetic,” and “out of touch” by those on the right end of the political spectrum.
Right-wing commentator Eric Daugherty criticized Bad Bunny as “trash,” while Fox News personality Tomi Lahren dismissed the protesters as “overpaid musicians and celebrities.”
