Jordana Brewster Joins Cast of Amazon’s Cop Thriller ‘Bishop’

Jordana Brewster, known for her role in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, is set to star in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming series “Bishop.” The thriller, slated for release on Prime Video, will see Brewster take on the role of Kat Clairborne, a seasoned inspector within the San Francisco Police Department.

Joining Brewster in the cast are Joel Kinaman, John Malkovich, and Jennifer Jason Leigh, who will play Malkovich’s sister, Jillian Graves. “Bishop,” which was greenlit by Prime Video last September, is an original concept from co-creators Little Marvin (“Them”) and Tony Saltzman (“Dexter: Resurrection”). The series follows Bishop, a brilliant and battle-scarred individual, as he uses all his skills to track down a killer targeting the affluent class in San Francisco. As the killer garners a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced that the murders are linked to his own father, Lincoln Graves, the most powerful man in San Francisco.

Brewster’s recent television credits include FX’s “American Crime Story,” Fox’s “Lethal Weapon,” TNT’s “Dallas,” and ABC’s “Secrets and Lies.” On the film front, she is set to appear in the indie film “The Pirate King” alongside Annabeth Gish and Rob Riggle, premiering at the SXSW festival in Austin. She has also been featured in Sony’s “Heart Eyes” and the Lionsgate thriller “Cellar Door.”

Little Marvin, who has an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, will serve as the showrunner and executive producer for “Bishop,” while Saltzman is also a co-creator and executive producer. Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo are on board as non-writing executive producers. Amazon MGM Studios, where Little Marvin is under an overall deal, will handle production.
