Martha Sewald, a long-time resident of Sharon Heights, highlighted that valuable items like jewelry and designer handbags are taken within minutes of the break-ins.

Although only one person connected to the string of burglaries has been charged so far, local authorities and city council members are making the incidents a top priority. Ray Mueller, the San Mateo County District 3 supervisor for Menlo Park, emphasized the need for community support in enhancing enforcement and prevention efforts. Residents are urged to come forward and show their support for initiatives like the use of drones to improve safety measures.
