Fremantle Promotes Jimmy Fox to President, Content and Strategy
Fremantle, the production company behind popular shows like “American Idol” and the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot, has recently announced the promotion of Jimmy Fox to the position of president, content and strategy. In his new role, Fox will be responsible for overseeing development and strategic business initiatives within the company.
Fox initially joined Fremantle in 2024 as the executive VP of unscripted development and sales. With his promotion, he is now tasked with identifying high-impact business opportunities, fostering collaboration across departments to leverage the company’s valuable legacy intellectual property, and supporting the development of new international formats in collaboration with Fremantle’s global teams.
During his time at Fremantle, Fox has been involved in the successful release of projects like the Netflix film “Evil Influencer” and the ABC’s “Match Game” revival hosted by Martin Short. He is also currently working on the development of a new Netflix competition series called “Win the Mall,” which is set to begin production later this month.
Fremantle CEO Jennifer Mullin praised Fox for his contributions to the company, stating, “Since joining the company, Jimmy has been an instrumental leader in both our creative and business endeavors. His ability to identify opportunities and translate them into successful outcomes has been invaluable. I am thrilled to see him take on this expanded role within the organization.”
Fox will continue to report directly to Mullin in his new position. His previous credits include the NBC series “Yes Chef!” and serving as president of Main Event Media, where he worked on projects like CNN’s “United Shades of America” and Peacock’s “Punky Brewster” revival.
Overall, Fox’s promotion reflects Fremantle’s commitment to nurturing talent within the company and leveraging their expertise to drive continued success in the entertainment industry.
