Netflix raises its subscription prices for the second time in 2 years. Here are the new fees.
Netflix has announced a price increase for its subscribers, who will now have to pay more to enjoy their favorite TV shows and movies on the streaming platform. The price hike, which went into effect this week, includes a $1 monthly increase for the standard plan with ads, and a $2 monthly increase for the standard and premium plans, as per the pricing information posted on the Netflix website. This is not the first time Netflix has raised its prices, with similar increases in January 2025 and October 2023.
Existing members will be notified of the updated subscription fees in the coming weeks, while new members will be subject to the new pricing immediately. Netflix has been expanding its offerings, including live programming such as Major League Baseball and video episodes of popular podcasts like Barstool Sports and iHeartMedia shows.
According to data from market analytics provider S&P Capital IQ, Netflix’s revenue saw a significant increase of nearly 16% from 2024 to 2025. This growth has also been reflected in the company’s stock, which rose by 1.13% before the opening bell on Friday.
