Tiger Woods Involved in Rollover Crash in Jupiter Island, Florida
On Friday afternoon, Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, as reported by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.
ABC News has reached out to Woods’ representatives for further information on the incident.
This is not the first time Woods has been in a serious car accident. In 2021, he was seriously injured in a crash in Southern California while driving a 2021 Genesis GV80. The vehicle was found several feet away from the center divider in an area known for a high frequency of accidents.
Authorities investigating the 2021 crash stated that there was no evidence of impairment and deemed it to be purely accidental.
Following the 2021 crash, Woods underwent a rehabilitation process that included three months confined to a hospital-type bed at his home, as revealed in an interview with Golf Digest.
In a separate incident in 2017, Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Jupiter, Florida. Reports indicated that he was asleep and had to be awakened by authorities. Woods later issued an apology to his family, friends, and fans for the incident.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for updates.
