Four Texas teens arrested for allegedly kidnapping former Del Valle High School classmate, torturing him over girlfriend dispute

Four Texas teens are facing charges of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon after allegedly kidnapping and torturing their former classmate at gunpoint. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over one of the suspect’s girlfriends.

The suspects, identified as Jose Rojas-Alvarado, Oscar Armando Santiago-Martinez, Angel Lemus-Perez, and Carlos Roberto Oliva-Villeda, all 17 years old, targeted a student at Del Valle High School in February. The victim was lured by three of the suspects to a nearby farm where the fourth suspect was waiting in a garage.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly held a gun to the victim’s head, bound his hands, feet, and mouth with duct tape, and forced him to drink alcohol before beating him with aluminum bats, a walking cane, and a belt. The victim was threatened with death and harm to his family if he reported the incident to the police.

Despite the threats, the victim bravely reported the attack to the authorities immediately after being released. He revealed that the assault was prompted by his interaction with one of the suspects’ girlfriends.

The victim’s injuries were consistent with his account of the attack, showing heavy bruising across his back, chest, and legs. Some of the suspects admitted to police that they had been planning the attack for days, with one allegedly recording the entire ordeal on their phone.

If found guilty, the four teenagers could face sentences ranging from five to 99 years in prison. Additionally, one of the suspects, Lemus-Perez, is facing an additional charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.

The Del Valle Independent School District confirmed that the suspects are no longer enrolled in the district and expressed concern over the incident. The district emphasized that the safety of students and staff is its top priority and is actively monitoring the situation.
