‘Juiceman’ gets 9 years after feds find 17 guns, 12 pounds of cocaine in his Wicker Park home

A man identified as Hugo Pinzon has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl and cocaine, as well as illegally possessing 17 firearms in his Wicker Park home. The sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge John Kness, following Pinzon’s guilty plea to federal drug and firearm charges.

The investigation into Pinzon’s activities began when a confidential informant informed Homeland Security Investigations agents that a man known as “Hugo” or “Juiceman” was selling cocaine in the Chicagoland area. The informant made several controlled buys from Pinzon before tragically dying in a car crash on March 5, 2024.

In April of the same year, authorities executed a search warrant at Pinzon’s residence on North Western Avenue, where they discovered over 12 pounds of bulk cocaine, $95,456 in cash, a money counter, a vacuum sealer, and the cache of firearms. It was reported that a woman living in the home disclosed that Pinzon resided there with her and their four-year-old son.

This case highlights the dangers and consequences of drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession. It serves as a reminder of the importance of law enforcement efforts to combat such criminal activities in our communities.
