‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Kyle Richards took legal action against her sister Kim Richards last year by filing a lawsuit to evict her from her condominium in the L.A. area, as reported by TMZ.
Court documents revealed that Kyle initiated the lawsuit in January 2025, requesting Kim to vacate the 2-bedroom, 3-bath, 1,633-square-foot condo in Encino.
Kyle alleged that Kim had overstayed her welcome in the condo despite being asked to leave in late 2024. The lawsuit aimed to regain possession of the property and claim damages from Kim amounting to $140 per day starting from November 2024 for every day she remained in the residence.
Kim did not respond to the lawsuit, resulting in a default judgment entered in March 2025, compelling her to surrender the property.
In June 2025, court documents indicated that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve Kim with the judgment, but she had already vacated the premises, allowing Kyle to take back ownership.
The relationship between Kim and Kyle has been tumultuous over the years.
The eviction lawsuit came shortly after reports surfaced in late 2024 that Kim had experienced a setback in her battle with addiction, prompting the family to implement a ‘tough love’ strategy until she sought help.
During the season 14 reunion of ‘RHOBH’ in mid-2025, Kyle and her sister Kathy Hilton provided an update on Kim’s progress, revealing that she had relocated to Florida and was making positive strides.
