Nikki Haley says US will ‘probably’ need to use special forces to get Iran’s uranium
US Contemplates Special Forces Mission to Retrieve Iran’s Uranium Stockpile
In a recent interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former 2024 GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley discussed the possibility of the US deploying a special forces team to retrieve Iran’s uranium stockpile. Haley stated that such a mission would likely be necessary and described it as a dangerous operation that would take about a week to ten days to complete.

President Trump has reportedly considered authorizing a risky operation to recover Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles, believed to be hidden deep underground. However, Trump has not yet approved the operation, opting instead to issue public warnings to Iran about US monitoring of their nuclear sites and the potential for military action if Iran tries to access their stockpiles.
Experts have warned that if Iran’s uranium stockpiles were fully enriched to 90%, they could possess enough material for at least 10 nuclear bombs.

Haley, who ran against Trump in the 2024 GOP nomination race, has been a staunch supporter of the president’s military actions against Iran. She indicated that she is not considering a presidential run in 2028 and declined to comment on potential support for other candidates at this time.
When asked about a potential 2028 presidential run, Haley firmly stated, “I will not.”
