Anthropic’s Dario Amodei meets with White House about Mythos
The White House described its meeting with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei as “productive and constructive” on Friday, indicating a potential easing of tensions between the government and the leading artificial intelligence company.
President Donald Trump, when asked about Amodei’s visit in Phoenix, Arizona, responded with confusion, stating he had no knowledge of it.
Amodei met with Susie Wiles, the White House chief of staff, to discuss the company’s new Mythos model, which was recently unveiled.
The conversation focused on collaboration opportunities, shared approaches, and protocols to address challenges related to scaling the technology, according to a statement from the White House.
After being blacklisted by Trump and labeled a national security risk, Anthropic seems to be regaining favor with the White House.

Mythos, Anthropic’s latest model, excels in identifying software weaknesses and security flaws. The company has been in discussions with U.S. government officials about its capabilities and is rolling out the model to a select group of companies as part of Project Glasswing, a cybersecurity initiative.
Previous conflicts between Anthropic and the Trump administration led to lawsuits and disagreements over the use of the company’s models by the Department of Defense.
Despite initial setbacks, recent meetings and discussions indicate a potential shift in relations between Anthropic and government entities.
