Trump Reportedly Wants To Give Himself Major Military Honor

President Donald Trump has never served in the U.S. armed forces, but according to a report by the Wall Street Journal, he has expressed interest in awarding himself the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military honor. The Medal of Honor is typically awarded to service members who have demonstrated gallantry and intrepidity in extraordinary circumstances, such as engaging in military action against a U.S. enemy or serving with foreign forces in armed conflict.

Despite not having a military background, Trump has reportedly mused about giving himself the prestigious award. This desire for recognition extends beyond the military sphere, as he has also sought acknowledgment in other areas. For instance, he received a trophy from the Washington Coal Club declaring him the “Undisputed Champion of Beautiful Clean Coal” and was given the FIFA Peace Prize by the governing body for soccer.

Additionally, Trump has openly expressed disappointment about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, but he did receive a symbolic version from Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. While he may not be eligible for certain accolades due to his civilian position as president, Trump’s desire for recognition and acknowledgment remains evident in his actions and statements.
