D4vd is settling into a new jail cell as he was transferred to the L.A County Men’s Central Jail just before 10 PM Monday evening, according to TMZ sources.
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Office has placed D4vd in segregation due to his high-profile status, meaning he will spend most of his time alone in contemplation.
The Men’s Central Jail can accommodate up to 5,640 inmates of varying security levels.
Following his arrest last Thursday, D4vd was held without bail at the LAPD 77th Street Station Jail on suspicion of the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas.
D4vd has been formally charged with first-degree murder and other serious offenses, including lewd acts with a minor, following the investigation into Celeste’s murder.
According to District Attorney Nathan Hochman, D4vd allegedly killed Celeste and dismembered her with a sharp object after she threatened to expose their illegal relationship, leading to his arrest.
D4vd pleaded not guilty to all charges during his court appearance.
Despite the charges, D4vd’s family, represented by attorney Kent Schaffer, continues to support him unequivocally, stating, “David’s family stands firmly behind him.”
Celeste’s family was initially expected to address the media following D4vd’s charges, but they chose not to make a public statement.
