Red Lobster’s ‘Endless Shrimp’ deal is officially back this week
Red Lobster is reintroducing its popular “Endless Shrimp” promotion starting this Monday, a surprising comeback of one of its most well-known all-you-can-eat offerings.
The deal will be available for a limited time at selected locations, with prices varying. Some locations are offering the promotion at $24.99 per person, while others have set it at $29.99, as reported by USA Today.
Five different shrimp varieties, including a new flavor called “Marry Me Shrimp,” inspired by internet culture, will be served with a choice of side:
- Marry Me Shrimp: Shrimp in tomato cream sauce with a garlic and herb crumble topping
- Shrimp Linguini Alfredo: Shrimp in Alfredo sauce over linguini
- Walt’s Favorite Shrimp: Hand-breaded and lightly fried butterflied shrimp served with cocktail sauce
- Garlic Shrimp Scampi: Shrimp sautéed in a garlic lemon butter sauce
- Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp: Hand-breaded jumbo coconut shrimp served with piña colada sauce
The Endless Shrimp deal was discontinued in 2024 following financial losses and bankruptcy filings, leading to the closure of several Red Lobster locations.
Despite initial reluctance to bring back the promotion, strong customer demand and increased engagement have prompted Red Lobster to reconsider and reintroduce the “Endless Shrimp” experience, the company announced.
“After thousands of social media mentions since it last appeared on menus, Red Lobster is announcing the return of one of its most popular experiences, for a limited time: Endless Shrimp,” the company stated.
The previous Endless Shrimp promotion, which became a permanent menu item in 2023 after being offered on and off for over 20 years, was initially a marketing success but eventually became a financial burden due to overwhelming demand.
It was reported that the Endless Shrimp deal contributed $11 million to the company’s $76 million net loss in 2023, according to Reuters.
When Red Lobster CEO Damola Adamolekun took over in late 2024 to lead the chain out of bankruptcy, he initially dismissed the idea of bringing back the promotion due to financial concerns.
However, the company seems to be reconsidering that decision, with Adamolekun emphasizing a renewed focus on the popular offering in a recent statement.
“This is about putting our guests first and bringing back something they truly love,” he said. “Endless Shrimp has been a part of Red Lobster’s legacy for 20 years and our guests have never stopped asking for it. We’re excited to bring it back, for a limited time, in a way that works for our business today and honors what made it special from the beginning. Because when our fans talk, we listen.”
