‘Adolescence,’ ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ Lead BAFTA TV Craft Awards
The BAFTA Television Craft Awards celebrated the best in television craftsmanship, with standout winners including “Adolescence” and “The Celebrity Traitors” taking home two awards each.
“Adolescence,” a gripping teenage drama on Netflix, secured a win for fiction direction for Philip Barantini. The show’s sound team also clinched victory in the fiction category. On the other hand, “The Celebrity Traitors” triumphed in the entertainment craft team category and also scooped up an award for factual sound.
Other notable winners at the awards ceremony included Maja Meschede for costume design in the Disney+ series “A Thousand Blows” and the hair and make-up team for Sky’s classical music drama “Amadeus.”
In the music category, Jessica Dannheisser won for factual original music in “The Last Musician Of Auschwitz,” while Tom Rowlands took home the award for fiction original music for “Mussolini: Son Of The Century.”
The awards ceremony took place at The Brewery in London, hosted by Maisie Adam. The upcoming BAFTA Television Awards, which celebrate on-screen talent and shows, will be hosted by Greg Davies on May 10.
