Marjorie Taylor Greene Flags Farm Failures As Result Of Iran War
Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia recently criticized Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina for his aggressive stance on the war with Iran. Greene highlighted a survey that revealed the detrimental impact of President Trump’s ongoing conflict on American farmers.
In a social media post, Greene warned that future generations may blame Trump’s war on Iran for causing the failure of farms, as farmers struggle to afford fertilizers and face soaring farming costs. She also took a dig at Graham, accusing him of advocating for dropping nukes and allocating $400 million for a new ballroom instead of promoting world peace.
The survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation found that 70% of U.S. farmworkers cannot afford the required amount of fertilizer, with costs escalating due to the war. Additionally, diesel prices have surged by 46% since the conflict began in February, leading to financial distress for many farmers.
Trump’s plan to build a new ballroom at the White House faced setbacks when a federal judge ruled that congressional approval was necessary. Despite Trump’s claims that the project would be funded by private donations, Graham announced plans to introduce legislation for taxpayer funding.
While some voters oppose the ballroom project, others disapprove of the war with Iran. Graham, however, has defended the war as a worthwhile expense. Trump recently revealed the construction of a hidden complex beneath the ballroom, which was intended to be kept secret but was exposed due to a legal dispute.
Greene, who has clashed with Trump in the past, has joined other former allies in calling for his removal from office due to his aggressive rhetoric towards Iran. The contentious issues surrounding the war, farming crisis, and extravagant White House projects continue to spark debate among politicians and the public alike.
