Matt Lauer‘s rape accuser Brooke Nevils recently appeared in her first TV interview since releasing a memoir where she detailed her allegations against the former NBC anchor. The emotional recount shed light on the disturbing incidents.
During the interview with CNN’s Pamela Brown, Brooke tearfully recalled the traumatic experiences she faced while working with Matt Lauer at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Brooke bravely shared that she was allegedly anally raped by Matt in his hotel room during their time in Sochi. Despite the traumatic incident, she continued to have sexual encounters with him upon their return to New York.
Brooke explained the complexities of her situation and why she chose to maintain contact with Matt even after the alleged rape took place.
Following Brooke’s formal complaint against Matt, he was fired from NBC in 2017. Subsequently, several other women came forward with similar allegations against the disgraced television host.
Brooke’s courageous story is detailed in her new memoir titled “Unspeakable Things: Silence, Shame, and the Stories We Choose to Believe,” shedding light on the importance of speaking out against abuse and harassment.
