Samsung Galaxy Fold Wide Design Leaks

Samsung is gearing up to launch a range of new foldable devices this summer, with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Fold 8 taking center stage. The design of these devices has been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors, but now Samsung has seemingly confirmed their existence and design.

Reports from Tech Advisor suggest that Samsung has essentially confirmed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide through images found in an early build of the One UI 9 software by Android Authority. The Wide model is said to feature a squarer external display and a stouter build, possibly dropping one rear camera compared to the regular Z Fold 8.

The leaked images of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide reveal a device that is noticeably bulkier than its counterpart, the regular Fold 8. The squarer external display promises a more traditional widescreen tablet experience when unfolded. It is important to note that the images may not be to scale, and the Fold 8 Wide is expected to be taller than the regular Fold 8. Additionally, the render suggests that the Wide model will have one less rear camera compared to the standard Fold 8.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to build upon its predecessor, the Fold 7, with upgrades to the battery and charging capabilities. Reports indicate that the Fold 8 could feature a larger 5000mAh battery (up from 4400mAh) and faster 45W wired charging (up from 25W).

Samsung is anticipated to launch its new foldable lineup in July, just a few months away. This launch could precede Apple’s rumored entry into the foldable market, with the iPhone Fold expected to bear similarities to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide.

Overall, Samsung’s foray into the foldable market with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Fold 8 promises to offer consumers innovative and cutting-edge technology in a sleek and stylish package. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch date in July.
