‘South Park’ Season 29 Release Date Revealed
The highly anticipated Season 29 of the beloved animated comedy series, “South Park,” is set to premiere on Comedy Central on September 16 at 10 p.m. Fans can also catch the episodes on Paramount+ the following day for streaming in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
Mark your calendars for new episodes dropping every other Wednesday starting September 30, followed by October 14, October 28, November 11, and November 25. With the show’s 30th anniversary approaching in 2027, “South Park” continues to be a cultural phenomenon, having won the Emmy for best animated program five times and receiving a total of 18 nominations.
In a recent season, the show took on the Trump administration, introducing a hilarious and satirical storyline involving the former president. The Season 27 premiere in July 2025 featured a memorable moment with a deepfake of Trump stumbling through the desert naked, with his animated small, googly-eyed penis even speaking. The episodes that followed included a comical love affair between Trump and Satan, as well as a miniature, babyish JD Vance with a voice reminiscent of Tattoo from “Fantasy Island.” Season 27 became the most-watched season of “South Park” in six years, dominating the cable ratings in 2025 among the 18-49 demographic.
“South Park” is the brainchild of creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who also serve as executive producers alongside Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. The show’s team of producers includes Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman, with Christopher Brion as the creative director of South Park Digital Studios.
