Brooklyn’s Refinery at former Domino sugar plant reaches 90% occupancy
Two Trees Developer Successfully Fills Refinery at Domino
Originally aiming to lease the entire 500,000 square feet of the Refinery at Domino to a single tenant, Two Trees developer Jed Walentas fell short of his goal. However, the iconic building has now reached an impressive 90% occupancy with a mix of new tenants and expansions by existing ones.
The Refinery at Domino, once dubbed the “world’s weirdest workplace,” now stands as the commercial centerpiece of Two Trees’ Domino Park complex on the Williamsburg waterfront. The $150 million transformation project, completed in 2023, has attracted a range of tech, media, and AI companies.
Recent lease agreements include a 10,380 square-foot space on the 14th floor for Bandana, a Brooklyn-based job search platform, and an 11,000 square-foot expansion for Skylight, a hospitality event spaces operator.
