Unwanted ‘Pratt Bro’ dragged out of Spencer Pratt’s primary election party
A devoted fan of Spencer Pratt was caught trying to steal the spotlight from Los Angeles mayoral candidate during a media interview on Tuesday night. However, it was soon revealed that the fan was actually Jonathan Mellis, a convicted drug dealer and Jan. 6 rioter.
Mellis, who stood behind Pratt with a smile before being escorted away by security, has a history of criminal activities. He pleaded guilty to assaulting an officer during the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol and has previous convictions for conspiracy to manufacture or sell methamphetamine. He also has a record of arrests, including for domestic violence.
After the incident, Mellis took to social media to claim that he was assaulted at the party, posting a video of security escorting him out and a scuffle that ensued. Despite his troubled past, Mellis seems to be a die-hard supporter of Pratt, as he was seen giving an interview to NBC News earlier in the evening with a drink in hand, expressing his support for the candidate.
In the interview, Mellis praised Pratt for speaking out against communism and socialism, particularly in Los Angeles, which he believes has been negatively impacted by these ideologies. He also caused a stir during the interview when he and another Pratt supporter interrupted the interviewer as they tried to move on to the next segment.
During Pratt’s interview, Mellis stood silently nodding with a smile on his face, only to be approached by a person in the background as Pratt politely asked him to step aside. Pratt then awkwardly moved away to continue answering questions.
Despite his criminal past and disruptive behavior, Mellis remains a vocal supporter of Spencer Pratt and continues to make headlines for his antics.
