Fetterman dares Platner to release messages with mystery women, says he’ll ‘wear a suit every day’ in return
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has escalated his criticism of Senate candidate Graham Platner, highlighting Platner’s history of controversial remarks and challenging him to release messages from a Kik account that has sparked controversy in his campaign. Fetterman called out Platner for his past actions, including posing in a towel on a questionable website and engaging in conversations with women on the platform.
Fetterman challenged Platner to make the messages public, questioning the content of the conversations and raising concerns about age verification on anonymous messaging platforms. Platner’s campaign confirmed that the Kik account belonged to him, but stated that he had deleted the app from his phone without deactivating the account.
Platner’s campaign has not responded to requests for comment on the matter. Fetterman reiterated his stance on distancing himself from Platner, citing offensive remarks made by the candidate, including comments about American hero Chris Kyle and a controversial Nazi Totenkopf tattoo.
Despite Fetterman’s reservations about supporting Platner, other prominent Democrats such as Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, and Elizabeth Warren have endorsed Platner’s bid to unseat Republican Senator Susan Collins in Maine. Platner has offered explanations for some of the controversies surrounding him, including the Nazi tattoo he got in 2007 and his past social media comments.
Platner has apologized for his actions and expressed hope that people will judge him based on who he is today. The ongoing controversies have put Platner’s campaign on the defensive, with Fetterman and others questioning his suitability for the Senate seat. The situation continues to unfold as the election approaches, with Platner facing scrutiny over his past actions and statements.
