Fox Corp to acquire streaming giant Roku in $22 billion blockbuster deal
Fox Corp. has announced its acquisition of streaming giant Roku in a groundbreaking deal valued at around $22 billion, including debt. This move will create a media powerhouse, propelling the companies to become the third-largest player in US television by share of viewing.
The acquisition, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, will merge Fox’s live sports, news, and entertainment programming with Roku’s streaming platform and connected-TV operating system, reaching over 100 million households globally.
