See-Saw’s Australian Legal Drama The Great White Rounds Out Cast
ABC Australia’s highly anticipated legal workplace drama series, “The Great White,” is currently in production in Sydney and has announced an impressive cast lineup. Alongside Hugo Weaving, the show will feature Eamon Farren, Arlo Green, Miranda Otto, Sacha Horler, Brigid Zengeni, James Majoos, Emily Barclay, and Dinasha Perera.
Behind the scenes, Alyssa McClelland, Mia Wasikowska, and Samantha Lang will be directing the series. Produced by See-Saw Films in collaboration with ABC, Screen Australia, and Mediawan, the show follows the story of a disgraced barrister who takes on a seemingly trivial dog case that leads him into the world of animal law. As he fights to save a dog’s life, he finds himself taking on a series of cases on behalf of animals, culminating in a Supreme Court challenge to free a zoo elephant.
“The Great White” was developed by Samantha Lang and Ange Betzien, with Betzien, Nick Coyle, and Andrew Anastasios serving as writers. ABC Australia will broadcast the series in Australia, with international sales handled by Mediawan and Entourage Media.
