North Carolina high school counselor arrested on sex crimes charges involving students

Former High School Counselor Arrested for Sending Salacious Snaps to Students

A former high school counselor in North Carolina, 37-year-old Lesli Lambeth Bryant, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sending inappropriate photos of herself to several students. She is facing two counts of indecent liberties and second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for incidents that reportedly occurred in November 2025.

The victims were students at Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC, where Bryant previously worked as a counselor. After Orange County School officials were made aware of Bryant’s alleged misconduct, she was placed on paid suspension, and the Sheriff’s Office was notified on June 4.

Bryant resigned from her position on June 12 following an investigation into the allegations. She turned herself in to the police on Thursday morning after a warrant was issued for her arrest. During a court appearance, prosecutors revealed that the accusations involved Bryant communicating with students on Snapchat and sending them sexually explicit photos and videos of herself.

In response to the situation, Orange County Schools issued a statement emphasizing the importance of student safety and well-being. The school system took immediate action by suspending Bryant with pay and has cooperated with the ongoing investigation conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

As of Thursday, Bryant is being held at the Orange County Detention Center on a $50,000 secured bond. The school district remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

The Post reached out to Orange County Schools and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for further comment on the matter.
