Texas Tech Football Docuseries Greenlit by Paramount+

Paramount+ has given the green light to a new docuseries focusing on the Texas Tech University Red Raiders football team. The series will provide an in-depth look at the team as Head Coach Joey McGuire works to establish a new team identity during a challenging offseason. The four-episode series, currently untitled, has been in production since January 2026 and is expected to premiere before the upcoming college football season.

Greg Groggel, SVP Unscripted at Skydance Sports, expressed excitement about the project, stating, “This series will give fans a unique perspective on the world of college football today.” Micah Brown is set to direct and serve as showrunner for the docuseries, which is being produced by Skydance Sports and Second Wind Creative.

Texas Tech University’s Director of Athletics, Kirby Horcutt, shared his enthusiasm for the documentary, emphasizing that it will showcase what makes Texas Tech Athletics special. He expressed pride in the university being chosen for a groundbreaking documentary that will provide rare access to the program.

In other entertainment news, Jerry O’Connell is set to join “Big Brother: Unlocked” as a celebrity panelist for its upcoming season. The reality show, gearing up for its 28th season, will premiere on Thursday, July 9. O’Connell expressed excitement about his new role, calling it a dream gig and promising to be the voice of the fans.

Comic Relief has announced new additions to its Board of Directors, including Val Boreland, Tom Gorke, and David Spiller. Patrick Vien has been appointed as the vice chairman of the board.
