Florida man pulls pistol on teens who mistakenly fired water pellet gun at his car
The incident that occurred in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where a man pulled a gun on a group of teenagers during a water gun fight, has left many shocked and bewildered. The 15-year-old boy and his friends were riding around the neighborhood when they mistook Gregory Allen Davis’ car for their friend’s vehicle and fired water pellets from their Orbeez blaster.
Davis, a 49-year-old man, was understandably startled and called the police, claiming that he was being shot at with a BB gun. He then proceeded to follow the teenagers’ vehicle, demanding them to pull over. In a fit of rage, Davis pulled out a 9mm handgun on the group of teens, ordering them to get out of the car.
Thankfully, the police arrived on the scene promptly and were able to de-escalate the situation. They confiscated Davis’ firearm and arrested him for his actions. Body-worn camera footage captured a Port St. Lucie police officer questioning Davis about his decision to point a gun at kids, highlighting the severity of the situation.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the teens had mistaken Davis’ car for their friend’s vehicle and were simply trying to play a harmless prank. The “gun” used by the teenagers turned out to be a water gun, not a BB gun as initially assumed.
As a result of the incident, Davis was charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment of a child, while the teenager who shot the Orbeez pellets at his car was charged with throwing a missile at an occupied vehicle.
Despite numerous attempts to reach out for comment, Davis and his attorney have remained silent on the matter. The shocking events that unfolded serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining composure and using appropriate judgment in tense situations, especially when dealing with teenagers.
