Discovery Latin America has acquired popular series like “Totally Spies!” Season 8 and “Topo Gigio,” while V-me Media has closed deals for shows like “MiniHeroes of the Forest,” “Sweet Tweets,” “Mumfie,” “The Game Catchers” Season 1, and “Stan & Gran.” Canal Once, a Mexican public broadcaster, has also clinched a variety of shows for its kids channel Once Niñas y Niños, including “Chimera Keepers,” “Hey You! HITN has secured a broad content package for its U.S Latino and Latin-American preschool platform Edye, which includes titles like “MiniHeroes of the Forest,” “Sweet Tweets,” “Tee and Mo,” and “The Game Catchers” Season 1.
One of the standout titles in these deals is “Totally Spies!” Season 8, a popular teen girl undercover agent series that has been a global hit. Another notable title is “MiniHeroes of the Forest,” a 3D comedy adventure series about four young animal friends with mini super powers. Additionally, “The Game Catchers” Season 1 follows children as they travel the universe discovering and collecting new playground games.
These deals highlight the demand for Banijay Kids & Family’s premium catalogue in Latin America and their commitment to delivering quality entertainment and edutainment to audiences in the region. Cécile Cau, SVP sales, co-productions, and acquisitions at Banijay Kids & Family, emphasized their close collaboration with commercial and public service clients to meet audience needs.
Banijay Kids & Family’s strategic assets include a strong portfolio of kids entertainment brands like “Totally Spies!” and “Mr Bean: The Animated Series.” By leveraging revered IPs and building brand beyond linear environments, they aim to create “neo-evergreens” that drive longtail viewership on global streaming services.
