Netflix has recently announced a diverse and exciting 2026 Korean content lineup, featuring top stars such as Blackpink’s Jisoo, Gong Yoo, and Song Hye-kyo. This unveiling comes as Netflix celebrates its 10-year anniversary of operations in the Asia Pacific region.
The content slate is organized around five emotional experiences: romance, depth and desire, edge-of-seat thrills, comedy, and genre-defying wonder. Among the highlights is the romantic comedy series “Boyfriend on Demand,” starring Jisoo as Seo Mi-rae, a webtoon producer who embarks on a virtual dating simulation service. The series also stars Seo In-guk and is directed by Kim Jung-sik.
Additionally, Gong Yoo and Song Hye-kyo reunite for the period drama “Tantara,” set in Korea’s entertainment industry during the 1960s and ’80s. The series explores the risks taken by individuals for success and is written by Noh Hee-gyoung and directed by Lee Yoon-jung.
Acclaimed filmmaker Lee Chang-dong returns with “Possible Love,” a film that follows two married couples leading different lives whose worlds collide. The stellar cast includes Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong.
The lineup also includes a variety of romantic series such as “Can This Love Be Translated?” and “No Tail to Tell,” as well as reality dating franchises like “Single’s Inferno” and “Better Late Than Single.”
Thriller enthusiasts can look forward to “The Art of Sarah,” “Notes from the Last Row,” and “Mousetrap,” while fans of action will enjoy “Bloodhounds” Season 2 and “Road.”
Comedy lovers can indulge in titles like “Husbands in Action,” “Mission: Cross 2,” and “Undercover Miss Hong.” Unscripted offerings include “Culinary Class Wars” Season 3 and “The Devil’s Plan” Season 3.
Genre-bending titles like “The Wonderfools,” “If Wishes Could Kill,” and “Dead-End Job” offer unique storytelling experiences, while films like “Pavane” add to the excitement.
