Conor McGregor to Make Octagon Return for Rematch Against Max Holloway

LAS VEGAS — Conor McGregor is set to return to the octagon in a highly anticipated rematch against Max Holloway. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that McGregor will headline UFC 329 on July 11 in Las Vegas.

After a lengthy hiatus following a leg injury sustained in a fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021, McGregor is ready to make his comeback. The Irish fighter has also been dealing with legal issues, including a civil sexual assault case from 2018 for which he was found liable by an Irish jury.

Originally slated to face Michael Chandler in 2024, McGregor had to withdraw due to a toe injury. Now, he is focused on reclaiming his status as one of the UFC’s biggest stars.

McGregor made history in 2016 by becoming the first UFC fighter to hold two championship belts simultaneously. His meteoric rise to fame began in 2013 and culminated in victories over top fighters like Eddie Alvarez and Jose Aldo.

In addition to his success in the UFC, McGregor also ventured into boxing, facing off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a highly publicized match in 2017. Despite his recent setbacks, McGregor remains a formidable force in the world of combat sports.

Fans are eagerly awaiting McGregor’s return to the octagon, where he will undoubtedly put on a show against Holloway. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated rematch.
