Corey Feldman Says Misunderstanding Kept Him From Attending ‘Michael’ Premiere

Corey Feldman Misses Out on Michael Premiere Due to Miscommunication

Corey Feldman recently revealed that he missed out on attending the premiere of “Michael” due to a miscommunication. The actor, who is a longtime friend and defender of Michael Jackson, was noticeably absent from the star-studded event, which saw the likes of Magic Johnson, Martin Lawrence, and Tori Spelling in attendance.

According to a representative for Feldman, the actor did receive an invitation to the premiere about a month prior to the event. However, his manager, who was dealing with a personal issue at the time, mistakenly believed that Feldman’s attendance was confirmed when it was not. By the time Feldman’s team tried to rectify the situation and get him added to the guest list, organizers informed them that the event was already at maximum capacity.

Despite missing out on the premiere, Feldman’s representative stated that the actor believes that everything happens for a reason and that it was probably for the best. While Feldman was curious to see the movie, he does not have a strong interest in watching a fictionalized version of Michael’s story on the silver screen, as he lived through the real-life events.

Feldman’s connection to Michael Jackson dates back to the 1980s when they first met during Feldman’s teenage years. Although the two had a falling out later in life, Feldman recently paid tribute to Jackson by performing a dance to Billy Joel’s “It’s Still Rock & Roll to Me,” showcasing his admiration for the late pop icon.

As of now, there has been no response from Lionsgate, the studio behind the film. Despite missing the premiere, Feldman remains philosophical about the situation and continues to honor the memory of Michael Jackson in his own way.
