D4vd allegedly amputated teen’s finger tattooed with his name as part of ‘horrifying’ attempt to cover up crime: Prosecutors
Prosecutors have made shocking allegations against singer D4vd, accusing him of dismembering the body of a 14-year-old girl with a chainsaw purchased just a week after her death. The gruesome details were revealed in a recent filing in the murder case against D4vd, whose real name is David Burke.
The 21-year-old Los Angeles resident was charged with the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez following an extensive investigation. Despite pleading not guilty, his attorneys continue to maintain his innocence in the case.
The disturbing discovery of the teen’s badly decomposed and dismembered body was made in D4vd’s Tesla at a Hollywood impound lot in September 2025. Prosecutors revealed in a nine-page brief that D4vd had lured Rivas Hernandez to his Hollywood Hills home months earlier with the intent to kill her. The motive behind the murder was said to be her threat to expose their sexual relationship and potentially ruin his music career.
According to prosecutors, the relationship between D4vd and Rivas Hernandez began when she was just 13 years old and continued until November 2024. Despite their breakup, they allegedly maintained a sexual relationship, which led to jealousy on the part of Rivas Hernandez. Text messages between the two revealed a confrontation on April 22, 2025, where Rivas Hernandez threatened to reveal damaging information about their relationship.
Prosecutors claim that D4vd then invited the teen to his home the following day and ultimately stabbed her to death in a premeditated act. The murder is believed to have taken place on April 23, 2025, just days before the release of D4vd’s debut studio album.
As part of the alleged cover-up, D4vd ordered chainsaws, a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and an inflatable pool from Amazon. The prosecution believes he used the chainsaw to dismember Rivas Hernandez’s body in the pool to avoid blood spillage in his garage. Additionally, he amputated her fingers, including one with his name tattooed on it, to distance himself from the victim.
D4vd is accused of disposing of Rivas Hernandez’s remains in his Tesla and leaving her body to decompose. He allegedly misled friends and associates about the foul odor emanating from his home and vehicle.
The prosecution claims that D4vd was the last person to drive the Tesla before parking it around the corner from his home and leaving for a concert tour on July 29, 2025. A preliminary hearing for the case is scheduled for May 26, with D4vd facing charges of murder, continuous sexual abuse, and unlawfully mutilating a body.
The filing was submitted to provide the court with an overview of the evidence that will be presented at the preliminary hearing. D4vd remains in custody without bail as the case unfolds.
