D4vd has now swapped his lavish Hollywood Hills residence for a bleak jail cell.
The 21-year-old vocalist was taken into custody at L.A. County Jail at 10:12 p.m. on Thursday after being apprehended by LAPD detectives on suspicion of the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, as per official reports. D4vd is currently being detained without bail.
Members of LAPD’s specialized robbery homicide unit arrived at D4vd’s Hollywood residence on Thursday afternoon and escorted him to police vehicles.
A video obtained by TMZ captures D4vd being handcuffed by law enforcement officers before being transported to jail.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has stated that they will assess the evidence to determine if there are grounds to press charges.
Legal representatives for D4vd, including Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter, have affirmed to TMZ that the evidence will exonerate David Burke of any involvement in Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s demise.
The legal team has emphasized that no grand jury indictment or criminal complaint has been filed in the case, pledging to vigorously defend D4vd’s innocence.
Earlier reports revealed that Rivas’ dismembered body was discovered in D4vd’s Tesla on September 8, 2025, following the vehicle’s impoundment. Law enforcement was alerted to Hollywood Tow due to the foul odor emanating from the decomposing remains found in the trunk. The motive behind the incident remains undisclosed by the police.
