Down Nearly 60% From Season 1

The highly anticipated second season of “Beef” made its debut on Netflix this week, entering the Top 10 at number 10 with 2.4 million views. The first season of the show premiered back in 2023 to an impressive 34.1 million hours viewed in its first week, which translates to approximately 5.8 million views. However, there was a noticeable drop of about 58% in viewership between the two seasons, with Season 1 peaking in its second week at 70.38 million hours viewed.

In other Netflix news, Dan Levy’s new crime comedy “Big Mistakes” climbed to the number three spot in its second week, garnering 4.4 million views compared to 2.7 million in its debut week. Meanwhile, the docuseries “Trust Me: The False Prophet” retained its number one position for the second consecutive week with 6.9 million views.

On the English language film chart, the shark disaster thriller “Thrash” maintained its lead at number one for the second week, attracting 34.5 million views. “180,” a South African film, debuted at number two with 9.5 million views, followed by the comedy film “Roommates” at number three with 8.8 million views.

In the non-English language categories, the French Caribbean thriller “Bandi” secured the top spot in the TV chart with 5.2 million views, while the three-part docuseries “Ronaldinho: The One and Only” followed closely behind with 4.7 million views. For non-English language films, the Indian movie “Toaster” emerged as the week’s winner with 4.4 million views.
