Ex-WWE employee shares shocking new details in sex abuse lawsuit against Vince McMahon
A former WWE employee has come forward with disturbing new details of allegations against the organization’s co-founder Vince McMahon in a filing in her sex abuse lawsuit against him.
Janel Grant, who worked at WWE from June 2019 through early 2022, claimed in an affidavit filed earlier this week in Connecticut federal court that McMahon created a position specifically for her in order to exert control over her.
Grant alleged that McMahon subjected her to repeated sexual abuse, starting before she even joined WWE and continuing throughout her employment.
She stated that the encounters became increasingly violent over time, resulting in physical injuries and emotional distress, leading her to attempt suicide at one point.
Grant’s lawyer had mentioned that she chose to go public with her lawsuit in hopes of preventing other women from falling victim to similar abuse.
The Post reached out to McMahon for comment, who had previously strongly denied the allegations.
Grant claimed that in June 2021, she was assaulted by McMahon and another WWE executive, John Laurinaitis, during work hours.
She described in detail the sexual violence she allegedly experienced, including physical and mental trauma.
She detailed violent sexual interactions with McMahon and others that caused physical harm and emotional distress.
Grant also alleged that McMahon brutally beat her in July 2021 to prepare her for a sexual encounter with Brock Lesnar.
Her claims included McMahon advertising her as part of a deal to convince Lesnar to sign a new contract with WWE.
Grant’s allegations also involved disturbing incidents with a sex toy and accusations against WWE President Nick Khan and former COO Brad Blum for enabling McMahon’s behavior.
The Post sought comments from WWE, TKO Holdings, Khan, Blum, Lesnar, and Laurinaitis regarding the allegations.
McMahon resigned as CEO of WWE in 2022 and stepped down from his role at TKO in January 2024 after Grant filed her lawsuit.
TKO Group stated, “Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE,” regarding the matter.
They added, “We take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”
