Austin Metcalf‘s father, Jeff Metcalf, recently made controversial remarks on a podcast, targeting the school superintendent and criticizing his decisions regarding Karmelo Anthony.

During his appearance on Sarah Fields’ “JinxedSip” podcast, Jeff Metcalf didn’t hold back in expressing his disdain for Frisco Superintendent Dr. Mike Waldrip. He referred to Waldrip as “the most spineless, coward piece of s*** I’ve ever met in my entire life.”

Jeff Metcalf’s main point of contention revolves around Karmelo Anthony, who was allowed to graduate high school despite being found guilty of murdering Austin Metcalf at a track meet in April 2025. Jeff argued that the school’s handbook supposedly states that murder is grounds for “mandatory expulsion.”

He criticized Waldrip for allegedly disregarding the school’s attendance policy, claiming that Karmelo did not attend school after April 2, which should have prevented him from graduating.

Jeff Metcalf accused Waldrip of succumbing to pressure and political motives by allowing a “murderer” to graduate and delaying his response to the situation until after the elections.

Furthermore, Jeff Metcalf expressed dissatisfaction with the changing demographics of Frisco, implying that the city’s diversity has led to a decline in its quality of life. He emphasized his belief in people’s right to live where they choose but criticized the perceived negative changes in the city.

Regarding the graduation ceremony, Jeff claimed that the school initially refused to reserve a seat for Austin and prevented his twin brother, Hunter, from accepting his diploma on his behalf.

In a separate video segment, Jeff Metcalf used racially-charged language to refer to Karmelo Anthony, sparking further controversy and backlash.

Throughout the podcast interview, Jeff Metcalf made derogatory remarks about Karmelo’s parents, labeling them as “cowards” and “grifters,” while also denying any racist intent behind his statements.
